At Gimme Shelter Animal Rescue, we believe that every animal’s life is worth saving, regardless of breed, age, or medical condition. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in The Hamptons, New York.

Our special foster program is truly unique and allows us to assess both the personality and specific needs of each individual animal. This crucial information is used to select the best possible home for each rescue. We pride ourselves on matching each of our animals with his or her ideal forever family.
Our mission at GSAR is to rescue animals who are destined for euthanasia in high kill facilities across the country. Our goal is to ensure the overall health of every single dog we rescue and make sure they live happy lives with families who love and cherish them. Each one of our rescues receives medical care including age appropriate spay/neuter, vaccines, flea and tick meds, dewormers, heartworm preventatives and microchip. Our adoption fees are as follows : Age 5 years or older: $275, 6 months-4 years: $500, 6 months old or younger: $675. **Adoption fees are subject to change at the rescue’s discretion. Then, through our very successful adoption program, we work tirelessly to place each animal in a loving forever home. As part of a broader solution, we are hoping to raise funds to launch low or no-cost spay/neuter programs in the communities from which we rescue.
